Why Is Turkey So Healthy?
Turkey is highly nutritious and low in fat. Skinless turkey breast is one of the leanest meat protein sources you can find. Protein is essential for a healthy diet and turkey doesn't have a lot of the unhealthy saturated fat that many other protein sources do. Turkey is rich is selenium which is thought to help prevent various types of cancer and improve the immune system. Turkey also contains a variety of other healthy nutrients including niacin, B vitamins, zinc, and potassium. These nutrients are important for cardiovascular health and help to the lower the risk of certain diseases. Turkey also contains tryptophan, a chemical that has a calming effect and can help reduce anxiety.
