Why is Garlic Good For You?

Garlic is known to have anti-viral and heart-protecting properties. It contains a compound called allicin, created when garlic is crushed, which helps eliminate cholesterol from the body, detoxifies the liver, and acts as a potent anti-inflammatory. Garlic, which can be a powerful antioxidant, also helps to slow down aging by helping in the formation of new cells. If you are afraid of the dreaded garlic breath that many garlic lovers hate, citrus and parsley are said to help.
